  15. Intelligence Agency and ex-chairman of the Atomic Energy
  16. Commission; in Pebble Beach, Calif. In 1961 President Kennedy
  17. selected McCone as head of the CIA to succeed Allen Dulles
  18. after the Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba. McCone provided vital
  19. information to the President during the 1962 Cuban missile
  20. crisis.
